This past weekend my son Julian and I took our first legitimate camping trip with his Cub Scout troop. I’ve done plenty of retreats in cabins but I never “roughed it” in a tent. It was great. Here’s some photos I took of our trip.

Now that we have most of what we need like a proper tent and sleeping pads I feel confident about taking the family out for some more adventures. I can’t wait to be a “camping dad”. Let me know about cool areas to camp out at in California! I still feel like we need facilities and running water but eventually I want to go completely off the map. Thanks for reading this!
