Two years ago one of my best piano students moved out of state. We were both sad about the move but I had an idea. I offered Elise’s mom the option of continuing piano lessons with me over Skype. Once the family got settled in we began lessons over the internet once a week. I am happy to say that she is doing wonderfully and improving so much! She is playing advanced pieces at only ten years of age and can play scales flawlessly over the entire range of the piano. She’s a true success story and proof positive that Skype lessons work!

Complete the contact form at the bottom of this page to set up a lesson time. 30 minutes once a week is a great place to start. Lessons are $35 per half hour. For the sake of reserving your time slot, I recommend paying per month for the first lesson of the month. Zelle is my preferred means of payment.
I teach guitar, piano, electric bass, and upright bass. I use an acoustic piano or an amplifier with a quality microphone so that my students get the best quality audio. Method books may be necessary and can be purchased via Amazon. If your physical book is back-ordered or your shipment is delayed, please contact me for information on obtaining a digital copy.
Lessons are held year-round and I can accommodate all levels of playing ability. I specialize in pure beginners from the age of 5 and up but I also enjoy teaching more experienced students who want to explore more advanced musical territory such as jazz harmony and classical piano literature.

As a family man I am well aware of the dangers of children accessing the internet. You can rest assured that you and your child are in good hands. I will never put you or your childrens images online without your explicit permission (I got the okay from Elise’s mom to use the above photo). With over eighteen years of professional teaching experience and very positive experiences from my clientele over those years, you can put your mind at ease that your lessons will go well!
I am Live Scan certified to teach children. Contact me for documentation.
I also understand that remote lessons may not seem optimal and using technology for traditionally “hands on” lessons may be outside your comfort zone. In this regard rest assured that I will do everything I can to ease you and your loved one into the exciting world of remote music lessons! I wasn’t sure of it myself at first but now I think it’s the future of music education.
